After the wonderful time that we had in Europe and into our first furlough in Canada there has been alot of moving and shaking (think temperature change….brrrr and winter is coming….). I feel quite tired when I think back to all the places we’ve been and the people we have seen, but I also feel so rich and energized when I think about our amazing network and community.
We arrived in Canada safe and sound. We had a lovely time getting reaquainted with our YWAM Blackfalds family. It was great for the kids to be back in our little town and see all the people and places they had in their memories. We had a fantastic summer at a children’s camp (Oh the berries and camp fires!!), driving across the country (such a Canadian thing :), visiting with friends and family (mostly Canadians!!), living on a farm (Canadian grain) and being a part of the harvest, celebrating (Canadian) weddings and birthdays, being out in the (Canadian) bush at Adam’s family cabin. In the midst of this we were giving updates and reports about life and ministry in Fiji at various churches and to individuals. It was so good to see everyone! We are so blessed with friends and family who were excited to see us and willing to listen to our tales from afar!

Camp fun! The oldest two boys got to be campers for a week of summer camp and the youngest hung around enough to feel like he was a camper!

Corn shucking with Grandpa Atkinson….oh sweet corn!

Atkinson gathering to celebrate with Jay and Becky!

Jude turned 6!! He was very concerned by his re-lighting candles!

Beautiful Northern Saskatchewan

Building a tree house

We got to experience our first snow in 3 years! The boys were delighted!
